These shots are a little noisy (at the time, I still didn’t really get the whole ISO thing), but I still kinda like them.

I spent a week with my family at Pismo Beach last summer. Came across hundreds of pelicans, which were congregating on a series of rocks protruding from the ocean.

Caught this guy just as he was landing.
I really got lucky with this shot. This bird kind of came out of nowhere, and I was fortunate enough to get a few shots of him while he was still relatively close.
Came across this seagull mother with its baby while watching the pelicans.
