I took this photo at Duke Gardens shortly after buying my dSLR.
This spider was really tiny (much smaller than it appears in this photo). Found it near the entrance to Duke Gardens.
This spider was huge—about the size of a quarter. It set up shop outside my neighbor’s door one evening last summer. I grabbed my tripod and took some pictures before anything happened to it. My neighbor destroyed the web the following morning, but this persistent fellow rebuilt his perfectly circular web in the exact same spot that evening. Ha.
